How do I switch between monthly and yearly?

In the same place you cancel. On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Gretl, then pick the other plan. On Android: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Gretl → Manage. The store handles the proration and tells you what you'll be charged before you confirm.
